I have been reviewing amateur and professional theatre in Trafford and Manchester for more than 25 years and I've had the pleasure to interview many of the leading lights of the acting world.
Probably my most enjoyable interview was with Alan Bennett. I was very struck by how humble this giant of the theatre was. At the end of the interview he was desperate that I liked his new play and I joked "Your others haven't been bad, Alan."
My aim with this site is to celebrate Greater Manchester's vibrant theatre by bringing you honest and entertaining reviews of the area's many and varied productions.
Other famous names to talk to me include Vanessa Redgrave, Roger Lloyd Pack, Timothy West, PeterSallis and Ben Elton, at the launch of his musical, We Will Rock You.
