Poetry legend Mc Gough heading for Sale
ROGER Mc Gough will present a double bill designed to appeal to children and adults at Sale’s Waterside Arts Centre next month.
Alive and Giggling will be performed on April 5 at 7.30pm and will mix laughter with poems about growing old, a subject close to the heart of the literary icon, still performing at the age of 86.
On April 6 at 2pm he’ll perform The Sound Collector, aimed at children and families and director Johnny Dancinger said:
“The Sound Collector is a wonderful poem about a stranger who steals all our sounds. It also makes us imagine what the world would be like without them and we wanted to recreate that in our theatre adaptation.”
He described it as a dynamic show with “a huge heart.”
