Something for everyone down by the Waterside
AS Greater Manchester enjoys its scorching summer - says I with a huge dollop of irony - the Waterside Arts Centre has just revealed its autumn/winter season.
And there’s plenty to put a smile on the faces of theatregoers on those dark and chilly nights.
For me, one of the highlights is Henry Normal Collected Poems and Other Landfill on October 5.
This unique performer is sure to shatter any preconceptions people have about poetry and I fondly remember him tickling my funny bone at the iconic Buzz comedy club in Chorlton.
Other highlights include The Unknown Soldier on September 8 and Enid Blyton - Noddy, Big Ears and Lashings of Controversy on October 6.
Controversy - now there’s a word I thought I’d never see associated with the much loved children’s author.
